External Clinical Sites

Large, Diverse Population

The Twin Cities (Minneapolis, St Paul and their surrounding suburbs) is home to nearly 3 million people. The diversity of the population, in hearing needs and ethnic backgrounds, provides our students with a well rounded clinical education. There is an extensive variety of clinical, industrial and educational sites available for our students practicum experiences.

Variety of Sites

Lab Computer
  • Clinic sites include hospital (in- and out-patient), ENT, and private audiology offices.
  • Industrial sites include hearing conservation and hearing aid manufacturer sites.
  • Educational programs range from infant-toddler family-based programs, to secondary school experiences.
  • Area school programs for children with hearing loss include auditory/oral, ASL/bilingual/bicultural, and total communication options.
